Olympian creates a buzz at centre’s reopening

Colin Jackson, with Mayor Councillor Paul Sohal, and Councillor Rob Anderson

Olympic silver medallist Colin Jackson was the guest of honour at the reopening of Langley Leisure Centre, following a year long refurbishment project.

The hurdling star happily posed for pictures and signed autographs, while he also helped to officially cut the ribbon and a cake celebrating the new and improved facility.

The refurbished centre in Parlaunt Road now offers visitors access to a significantly larger, 100-station fitness suite complete with the latest industry technology, and renovated group exercise studios.

The swimming pool is newly tiled and there is a regenerated spa area, including a steam room and spa pool, as well as an extended car park.

Langley Leisure Centre is being managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Slough Borough Council. It’s the latest facility to be completed under Slough Borough Council’s £62million leisure strategy, being delivered by Slough Urban Renewal (SUR).
