NHS HealthMakers free self-management courses

If you live with any long-term health condition such as diabetes, arthritis, COPD, fibromyalgia, and live in the Slough/Windsor area, have you heard about HealthMakers?

This free 6-week self-management course helps people better manage their condition, which could be anything from asthma to migraine, epilepsy to stroke recovery, and everything in between.

The topics covered will include the benefits of good self management, goal setting, managing anxieties and developing a good and effective relationship with your healthcare professionals.

Courses are run throughout the year, in various locations throughout East Berkshire.

  • Starts Tuesday 11 September, 5.30-8.30pm at Langley Pavilion Community Centre, Langley Road, Slough, SL3 8BS.
  • Starts Tuesday 30 October, 1.30-4.30pm at Slough Aspire, 350 Edinburgh Avenue, Slough Trading Estate, Slough, SL1 4TU.


  • Starts Thursday 13 September, 1-4pm at Windsor Youth and Community Centre, Alma Road, Windsor, SL4 3HD.
  • Starts Thursday 1 November, 1-4pm at Windsor Youth and Community Centre, Alma Road, Windsor, SL4 3HD.
