Toadstool hunt

Saturday 19 October, 2-3.30pm

Join Trevor Smith to explore the park and nature reserve for fungi. Maybe just admire their different shapes and colours, or note their peculiar smell, or come and learn more about identification of some of the more common ones.

Starting promptly at 2pm from the kiosk.

Family fun day

Tuesday 29 October, 11am-3pm

Basil and Crew's mobile farm is coming back to Herschel Park. Come along to see the ponies, donkeys, lambs, rabbits, chickens and ducks. Why not try one of our Xplorer sessions? This is an orienteering course set around the park. There will also be face painters. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. More parking on the day is available at Upton Court Park, SL3 7LU.

Birds in winter

Saturday 7 December, 10.30am-12.30pm

Summer visitors will have gone but other species will have reached the park to spend winter here so we will join Brian Clews to explore and see what has arrived. Starting promptly at 10.30am from the kiosk.
