Baylis Park improvements

Baylis Park pond

Partnership working is helping to keep a park restoration project going.

The council has already completed a restoration of the pond and rose garden in Baylis Park and is continuing to work with local community group SNAP to deliver further improvements. The overall aim is to increase visitor enjoyment and safety.

Improvements have included the installation of a fascinating mosaic art piece designed by local schools, which has been set into the path entrance from Stoke Poges Lane, and the installation of three state of the art CCTV cameras.

The high definition day/night cameras provide high quality images which are monitored and recorded by Slough’s 24/7 CCTV control centre and are part of the council’s commitment to improve safety and wellbeing in the borough.

Further improvements to the park will include extensive tree planting, an outdoor gym and toddlers play area in adjoining Godolphin Park.
