Adult learning – summer registrations

Adult learning

Residents who want to learn a new skill in 2017 are being encouraged to look no further than the East Berkshire Community Learning and Skills Service (CLASS), which has adult learning courses to suit all tastes and budgets.

Whether you would like to improve your English and maths, brush up on your computer or social media skills, or learn henna or yoga, there’s something for everyone in the spring 2017 brochure.

Courses include English, maths and computing, many of which lead to a recognised qualification.

If you are looking to improve your health and wellbeing, take a look at the dance and exercise courses on offer.

For the creatively minded, why not learn how to sew or cook on a budget?

These part-time courses are available for adults aged 19 or over who have been resident in the EU for more than three years.

The courses are held at a range of venues across Slough.

The brochure can be found in libraries and community venues across the borough.

Councillor Sabia Hussain, commissioner for education and children’s services, said: “Whether you want to improve your employment prospects or work towards a qualification, or simply because you fancy it, these courses are perfect for anyone wanting to learn a new skill. I highly recommend picking up a brochure to see what’s on offer.”

The spring term has already begun, but registrations for the summer term will begin in April.
