Cycle hire scheme

You may have seen commuters riding one of the distinctive Slough Cycle Hire bikes around town.

The scheme launched in 2013 with the aim to encourage commuters and residents to cycle in Slough for less than the cost of a bus journey.

There are 11 docking stations throughout Slough – you can hire a bike from one location and drop it back to another.

A membership card for one year costs £10 and it then costs from just £1 for the first 30 minutes and 50p for each hour after that. Monthly and yearly ‘Power to the Pedal’ tariffs are also available.

There is also a Cycle Hub, just by the train station, which offers secure cycle parking for up to 80 bikes and has toilets, changing facilities, lockers and 24/7 access with CCTV coverage.
