New year, new career?

This could be the year when we all learn a new skill, improve old ones, get a job for the first time, or get back into work.

Whatever your goal is, the council’s Young Peoples Service and Employment, Learning and Advice (ELA) team can help.

The ELA team run ongoing job club sessions in Slough libraries to help with job searching and job opportunities, and the Young People’s Service also offers information, advice and guidance support for those aged 16-19.

Some of the areas where support can be offered include:

  • CV building
  • employment searching
  • job and apprenticeship applications
  • courses and training support
  • interview skills
  • confidence and self esteem building.

Please get in touch for 19+ support by calling 01753 476611or by emailing for more information. Or the Young People’s Service support for age 16-19 by calling 01753 875510 or emailing
