Future of parish councils

The decision over the future of the three parish councils in Slough has been made.

The parishes were reviewed last year and two rounds of consultation were held into their effectiveness.

Councillors reviewed the feedback from electors on community governance arrangements within the borough and made a final decision at a special Council meeting in December.

Colnbrook with Poyle Parish Council will remain, but has been asked to improve its engagement with local people. While both Britwell and Wexham Court parish councils have been abolished with effect from 1 April.
