Volunteers needed to help young people

The National Youth Advocacy Service is looking for volunteers to match up with young people in Slough.

If you want to make a difference to a young person’s life and can spare one to four hours a month, the NYAS would like to hear from you.

Volunteers could become a mentor or befriender, or even an independent visitor for children and young people in care.

Training and on-going support will be given, as well as certain expenses. Volunteers could be taking young people on outings, or sharing an interest in a sport or hobby. They will be a listening ear and a positive influence in a young person’s life to help them build self-esteem and confidence.

If you are interested or want to find out more, visit the National Youth Advocacy Service website or call Linzi Bagshaw from NYAS on 07484 075165.
