Celebrating a police commendation

Garry Tallett, Slough Borough Council’s community safety partnership manager, has been awarded an Area Commander’s Commendation.

Garry was awarded his commendation, which recognises those who go above and beyond in their jobs to benefit the local community, by Area Commander, Superintendent Sarah Grahame at a ceremony at Slough and Eton School in April.

The commendation was ‘for his professionalism and integrity by providing a high quality of service to the local policing area. He has worked tirelessly planning, developing and supporting peers, colleagues and the senior management team from across the Safer Slough Partnership.’

Garry said: “While this award recognises my contribution to our partnership work in Slough, I would like to acknowledge that community safety is a team effort, with much of the work we do happening behind the scenes. So thank you to all who contribute and I am really pleased to receive this commendation.”

Cllr Pavitar K Mann, cabinet member for regulation and consumer protection, said: “This commendation is extremely well deserved and I am really delighted for Garry and his team on the recognition of their hard work and tireless efforts.”
