Spring into garden action

The onset of Spring is the perfect time to get out into the garden to plant new vegetables and plants, get the first grass cutting of the year or just clear the detritus of winter.
Green bins are provided free of charge when requested from the council land collected every other week all year round, with just asmall break for Christmas.
However, only waste from a garden can be disposed of like grass cuttings, hedge and shrub trimmings, small branches and twigs, flowers, small plants and weeds.
Slough residents can also purchase compost bins at a discounted price by visiting the website GetComposting.com or by calling them on 0800 3164454 and requesting the Slough Borough Council discounted rate.

If you would like to register for the green bin scheme, please call 01753 475111 (option 4) and give the address of the property.
