Mobile breast screening van

A free screening service is available to help identify breast cancer.

The mobile breast screening van is based at Cippenham Community Centre in Earls Lane.

Over the next two years all eligible women in the Slough area will be invited to this mobile van for breast screening, with all female mammographers.

About one in eight women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.

Detecting breast cancer as early as possible improves the chances of treating it successfully. You're also less likely to need a mastectomy (breast removal) or chemotherapy if breast cancer is detected at an early stage.

That’s why it’s important to increase the uptake of breast screening in Slough, which is very low at the moment.

The council’s building management team worked with Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust to find a suitable location for the van.

You cannot just turn up for screening, you must wait for your invite letter.
